The capital of Palau, Koror, is decidedly not a lovely place. There’s a lot of traffic (on the ONE main road), no real sidewalks to speak of, and on rainy days honestly very little to do.
What Koror does have in its favor, though, is a location right in the middle of Palau’s Rock Islands. Even a half hour of kayaking can get explorers away from town and into hidden coves over sunken ships.
Koror also makes a nice place to recharge after Rock Islands kayaking adventure or camping on Peleliu, because after long days of canned food and water something fresh with a cold beer is hella welcome!
