One of my personal highlights from Tibet was the Sera Monastery .
In the mountains just outside of Lhasa and admittedly touristy, it was still a nice experience to be in a Tibetan Monastery at the heart of Tibet watching robed monks debate each other in Tibetan.
Certain groups were a lot more animated in their discussions, and curiously the more animated seemed to be the ones closer towards the ring of tourist at the front of the courtyard.
Particularly amusing was one guy sitting just in front of Matt and I, who seemed to get just about every question wrong. Eventually he friends grew frustrated, and decided to apply some pain.
