Palau was a huge battleground during much of the World War II fighting in the Pacific, and as a result the islands are dotted with little remembrances of the war. Whether a tank rusting away in the jungle or a monument to the soldiers that died, there were lots of reminders to be found.
WOW!! This reminds me of some of the stories your paw told me about Truk Island days. It amazes me that it is all still there after so many years. Really liked this one. N
Yea, it was honestly pretty strange to be walking through the jungle and come across a tank or kayaking along and realize I was directly over an airplane.
