Early in the morning, the conch shell sounds the call to prayer. Inside, chanting and the sound of drums and gongs rise on the blast of horns to the skies above and the very slopes of Sagarmatha. And onwards trekkers pass, past the jewel-box of Ama Dablam towards the very roof of the world itself.
